What is a temporary email address?

A temporary email address is a real, working inbox that deletes itself after a set time. You use it where you do not want to give your personal email: sign-ups, free trials, downloads, one-time codes. With TempDog you get one instantly, with no account.

How long does my temporary email last?

As long as you choose: from 5 minutes up to 30 days. The timer is always visible, and you can extend it or end it early at any time.

Can I send or reply from a temporary address?

No. TempDog is for receiving: sign-up emails, verification codes, newsletters and messages from websites. This keeps the service clean of spam and keeps our addresses trusted by the websites you sign up on.

Can I receive attachments?

Yes, up to 10 MB per email. Files attached to the emails you receive are listed with the message. Only open attachments you expect, as with any inbox.

Can my address close by itself after I get my code?

Yes. Turn on Close after first email in Change duration. When the first email arrives, the address closes 10 minutes later, so you have time to copy your code. Emails sent after that, like a password reset, will not arrive, so leave it off if you expect more emails. Press Keep it open to cancel.

Do you block email trackers?

Yes. Many emails contain tiny hidden images that tell the sender when, where and on what device you opened them. We block them and show you how many we blocked in each email. Other images stay hidden until you press Load images.

Can I choose my own email address?

No. Every address is random, so nobody can create one that looks like a bank, a shop or another person. If you want a different one, tap “New random.”

What should I not use a temporary email for?

Anything you will need to get back into later: your bank, payments, health and government services, work tools, or your main social media and gaming accounts. When the address expires, password reset links have nowhere to go. For those, use your real email.

Is there a limit on how many addresses I can create?

Yes, but you will not notice it in normal use. You can keep several addresses open at the same time and make a new one whenever you need it. If many addresses are created very quickly from the same connection, we may ask for a quick “I’m not a robot” check or ask you to wait a little. This stops bots and spammers, so the service stays free and works well for everyone.

Can I keep an email after my address expires?

Yes. Open the email and tap “Save as PDF” before the address expires. The copy is saved on your device, not on our servers, and images and trackers stay blocked.

What happens when my address expires?

The address and all its emails are deleted for good. The address is never given to anyone else, so nobody can receive mail that was meant for you.

How do I get back to my inbox later?

On the same device, just open the site again: your inbox is still there. To open it on another device, or after clearing your browser data, use Save access: copy your access key, or scan the QR code with your phone. Anyone with the key can read your emails, so keep it private. If you lose it, we cannot recover the inbox, because we keep no account details.

Do I need to create an account?

No. There is no account, no name and no phone number. Your address is ready the moment the page opens.

Is a temporary email address legal and safe?

Using a temporary address to keep your personal email private is generally legal. Using it for fraud, spam or to break a website’s rules in ways that harm others is not allowed under our Terms of use.
