A single-use email address

Turn on Close after first email and your address shuts down 10 minutes after the first message arrives. Get your code, and you are done.

Waiting for emails…

New messages appear here automatically. Turn on Notify me to get an alert while you are in another tab.

Most of the time you need a temporary address for exactly one email: the verification code. After that, the address has done its job.

Close after first email turns that into a rule.

    How it works

    1. Open Change duration and turn on Close after first email.
    2. Use the address on the website.
    3. When the first email arrives, a note under the timer shows First email received. This address closes in 10:00.
    4. Copy your code. Ten minutes later the address and its emails are deleted for good.

Ten minutes gives you time to copy the code even if the website is slow, or to open the email again.

    Changed your mind?

Press Keep it open under the timer. The countdown stops and your address goes back to the duration you chose. You can also turn the option off in Change duration at any time.

    When to use it

    • One-time codes for sign-ups, Wi-Fi forms and downloads.
    • Coupon codes you only want once.
    • Quick tests of a form that sends a single email.

    When not to use it

If a website may email you again later, such as a password reset, a receipt or a delivery update, leave it off. Those later emails would not arrive. For that, choose a longer duration instead, from a few hours up to 30 days.

    Nothing to remember

You do not need to come back and press Delete now. The address cleans up after itself, and like every address here, it is never given to anyone else.

    Questions

How do I make my address single-use?

Open Change duration and turn on Close after first email. When the first email arrives, the address closes 10 minutes later.

What if I need more time?

Press Keep it open under the timer. The address goes back to the duration you chose.

What happens to emails sent later?

They will not arrive, because the address no longer exists. Leave the option off if a website will email you again, for example to reset a password.

    Is it on by default?

No. It is off until you turn it on, so you never lose an email by surprise.
